SURE TRAC A SURE SALES SUCCESS

Terry Smith, managing director of the importers Exclusive Tyre Distributors, announced his pleasure at the results, which are 30% above the forecast export sales figures from the USA manufacturer, Cooper Tires. This related well to the 20% increase that Exclusive Tyres had hoped for in the first six months after the official release of the tyre in March this year.

Cooper Tires export manager, Steve Kersh, visited Australia last month to meet with Cooper dealers across Australia and to congratulate them on achieving the sales result for the Sure Trac product. The dealers have said they believe the Sure Trac is the best all terrain 4WD tyre for Australian conditions.

"Our in-field results from 4WD tour operators in every State confirmed our thoughts that the Sure Trac is the best all round performer for coastal, outback, desert and muddy 4WD tracks of all kinds," said Terry Smith.

He added that Vic Widman's Across Oz trip was the pinnacle of these tests, with six vehicles doing an extremely arduous four-day trek in the toughest conditions imaginable. "The Sure Trac tyres on Vic Widman's vehicles beat the opposition brands in mileage, puncture resistance, grip and handling performance under a wide variety of demands," he continued. "Toyota Landcruisers and Nissan Patrols, heavily laden with fuel, water and equipment, tested the load rating of the Coopers to the maximum and the tyres came up winners."
