SURE TRAC PASSES ULTIMATE TEST

After six weeks crossing rocky outback areas, arid deserts and mountainous tracks, hs stated that the Cooper Tires had out-performed the other, well-respected brands. He reported to Australian importer, Terry Smith, of Exclusive Tyre Distributors, that the Sure Tracs had beaten the opposition in mileage, puncture resistance, grip and handling under the toughest conditions possible.

Widman's Across Oz project was the ultimate 4WD tagalong tour, with Toyota Landcruisers and Nissan Patrols heavily laden with fuel, water and equipment. This tested the load rating of the Cooper tyres to the maximum, and they came up winners according to Widman. It should be noted that his loaded Landcruiser weighed close to 3-1/2 tonnes.

Terry Smith expressed his pleasure at the results, as he has spent years of infield testing and development with Cooper Tires research and development team in the USA, to ensure the Sure Trac would cope with Australia's rugged conditions.
