Rust Protection
Approximately four years ago, we were approached by CouplerTec
to trial a product that claimed to electronically inhibit rust and
protect the vehicle from rusting even in extreme working environments.
We agreed to try your product and targeted our beach patrol vehicles.
There was another brand of rust inhibitor, which was also fitted
at approximately the same time to another of our vehicles.
The vehicles were then monitored for corrosion at service intervals.
These vehicles work in extreme conditions, constant exposure to
salt water, sand, wind and any part of the vehicle with metal exposed
would start to rust very quickly.
After a period of six months it started to become apparent that
there was a difference between the vehicles. The vehicle that was
not fitted with the CouplerTec system was showing signs of rust
staining at various points around the vehicle.
At the point of sale these vehicles were quite different in appearance,
the vehicle fitted with the CouplerTec System required minor rust
repair, and the other vehicle required extensive rust repair prior
to sale.
The replacement vehicles were both fitted with CouplerTec Systems.
These vehicles were also monitored through their service life and
required minor body rust repair at point of sale. At several points
through their service life, these vehicles required braking components,
discs, caliper overhauls, drums, linings & backing plates, handbrake
cables & adjustors etc.
Overall the CouplerTec system has extended the useable life of
our beach vehicles and lowered the body repair costs and with further
development, I expect the mechanical repair costs to decrease.
Garry Bell has kept in touch regularly and has provided a great
deal of advice, service and backup in helping make these systems
work at peak level. The testing has provided enough proof to prompt
us to purchase these units for all of our beach/surf patrol vehicles,
tractors and beach cleaning implements.

TO COUPLERTEC SYSTEMS
For the past 21 years I have operated a 4WD vehicle on the beach
every day between Coloured Sands and the Cherry Venture shipwreck
near Fraser Island in Queensland.
I operate a mobile food and souvenir business 12 months of the
year and I am on the beach for 12 hours virtually every day.
Before I discovered the CouplerTec System I had a huge rust problem
with rust in all my vehicles. The corrosive elements on Fraser can
destroy a vehicle very quickly.
Since I have had the CouplerTec Electronic System I have extended
the life of my vehicle significantly. My vehicle is 61/2 years old
and I have had the CouplerTec System on the vehicle for the past
4 years. The rust that was already in the vehicle has not moved.
I have been able to keep this vehicle much longer than any other
vehicle and I have saved thousands of dollars because of reduced
maintenance and not having to replace my vehicle so often.
I can't praise the system enough and I won't operate a vehicle
on the beach unless it has a CouplerTec.

A Word of Caution
Beware of Imitations
Not all brands of electronic rustproofing do what is claimed.
Cheap is not necessarily good. In fact to compromise on quality
can be quiet disastrous. Genuine motor enthusiasts use genuine parts.
The same principle applies to rustproofing.
Some electronic devices are mounted in the engine bay with VELCRO.
This can be extremely dangerous if the unit comes loose. Velcro
is flammable and does not represent the best or safest method of
installation.
Other cheap electronic rustproofers have started applying sprays
and extra coatings to vehicles.
CouplerTec is a stand alone electronic device which has a proven
performance for over 14 years. CouplerTec performs at it's peak
without the aid of sprays or coatings.
